Sitting in the near empty room made me think of my parents' bedroom back at home. A couple of weeks ago my parents received a mysterious phone call from somewhere in Australia. My parents immediately started packing, and forty eight hours later, they were on a first class flight to Australia. They couldn't take me with them, so here I am at my aunt's house. Aunt Kaley lives alone because of the recent death of Uncle Mike. He died from a heart attack in his late forties. The doctors don't know how it happened so early, but it did. Aunt Kaley still hasn't gotten over his death. And I wouldn't expect her to either. She loved Uncle Mike more than life itself. Anyways, here I am in the navy blue guest room. All that's in here is a queen size bed, a gray dresser, and a small night side table. My small suitcase sits at the foot of the bed along with a worn stuffed frog. Mom and Dad bought it for me when I was younger. His yellow crown that Mom made for him is falling off, and one of his eyes is missing. His name is Flopsy, and I can't remember a moment without him.
I have so many introductions to books that I'm never gonna finish tucked away in a drawer. See, I love writing the beginning, but I never know what to do with the rest. Last night I was really bored, but it felt to early to go to bed. So I pulled out my steno pad and a pencil and started writing. Ta-da!

Guest Blogger
Today I'm going to be doing something a little different. I've got a great guest blogger for you guys, so pay attention!
Hello there, humans. Apparently, in your weird culture even one-of-a-kind crochet cats like myself, in all my cuddly wonderfulness, are required to have something called a "name". I don't know what the big deal is, really. I can see having a word that describes those weird black fluffy things that keep wandering around the house (I won't dignify them with the word "cat" no matter how much you insist) but why should I need one? "Your excellency" would do just fine.
But since you won't let me alone about it, I'll throw it back to you: I need a name befitting my station in life, packing all that is marvelous about me into a few human syllables. You may nominate your ideas in the comments area below.

Some inside information. My mom found this cute book at some store, and couldn't resist buying it. It's called Hello My name is Amineko. Right away, she started making one. I think it turned out pretty good. Anyways. Recently the crochet cat has been exploring the house, and watching several Christmas movies. He has also become the center of our attention, making us all want to come up with cute poses for him.
Twas the day after Christmas
I hate the day after Christmas. All year you've been waiting and waiting for Christmas to come, and finally for one short moment in time, it's there. And the next... It's not.

Wish List
This is for all of those people who have been asking me what I want for Christmas. Those of you who have NOT been asking me to put my wish list on my blog, sorry I had to waste a whole blog on all the stuff I want. I feel kind of selfish puting this huge wish list here...
(My list is really long this year. Last year there was only 5 things...)

Cool Pictionary Game Thingamajig!
This is a game that I learned to play at Youth Group, so I decided to play it with my family. We got some really funny results.
HOW TO PLAY:
1. Get out a sheet of paper and a writing utensil for each player
2. Have each player write a sentence at the top of their paper. (Try and make it funny!)
3. Pass papers to the next player to the right
4. After you receive the paper with someone else's sentence on it, draw a picture according to the sentence
5. Fold back the sentence so the next person can't see it
6. Pass the paper to the next person, and have them write a sentence according to the picture
7. Fold back the picture, and pass to the right
8. Draw a picture according to the sentence
9. Continue playing until the players get their papers back. Try to end the game with a sentence instead of a picture
10. When the game ends, have each player read the starting sentence and the ending sentence out loud
Confused? Here are some examples.

Happy Thanksgiving!
And Happy 20th Anniversary, Mom and Dad!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, because I sure did! We had a progressive dinner, starting at the Carlsons'* house for the appetizers, then to our house for the main dinner, then to my Grandma's house for dessert, movies and games. We also got to go outside and play with mini rockets and airplanes at a nearby parking lot, which was really fun. Anyways, enough about me. How was your Thanksgiving? Leave plenty of comments!!!

My Letter to the M&M Company
Dear M&M Company,
My family loves M&Ms, especially my Dad. He likes to open a little package and organize them by color, and eat them in a pattern. My younger brother likes to take the M&Ms and push them together to see which is stronger, by how well they stay together. Then the M&M will move up and up to become the ultimate M&M Champion. For me, I just like to eat them. J
One thing I really like about M&Ms are the different colors. Although they don’t change the taste, it gives them personality. I think it would be really cool if each month, you would choose a featured M&M color. For example, January’s color could be purple. In the January bag, there would be different shades of purple. Violet, Orchid, Heliotrope, Royal Purple, etc. I know you already do this for February and December, but for every month? It would be awesome!!! My favorite color is blue, and to see all the shades of blue in one little package would be like seeing Blue Jays, the Ocean, Blue Morpho Didius butterflies, and the night sky, all jammed together to form a work of art! Just think how many fan letters you would receive, thanking you for using their favorite color! I hope you’ll consider this idea!

Pins + Patterns
Today was the official kick-off for our Pins and Patterns 4-H Club! This year we have new leaders which include: my mom, my friend Ruby's older sister, and my other friend Lilly's older sister. This year we will be making a lot of changes. There will be different offices, like a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and snack coordinater. I'm running for secretary! The secretary has a really easy job. If I get elected, my job would be to just take notes for our meetings, like what we talked about, what we will be doing next week, stuff like that. Anyways, I'm really excited! This is gonna be a great year!

Catching Up
As I've told everyone a billion times before, I am busy. And I'm sorry I havent been able to blog very often. So I have some catching up to do.
First off, 2 weeks ago Saturday, I went to the Sewing Expo and showed off the outfit I made in my Pins+ Patterns 4-H Club. (The green blouse and white bolero that I entered in the County Fair.) And... got 2nd place! Then to make it even better, one of my best friends and her sister also recieved an award too! Yay!
Second... I had something I was going to say. But I've lost it.
Let's move on to the third. I was going to talk about something else, but now it doesn't seem important. So, um. Bye.

Today I spent 4 Hours Saturated in my own Sweat
Yes, I know I have some explaining to do.
Today was our school's fundraiser. And it was terrible.
This year we were doing a "Boosterthon" to raise money for our school. Basically, we were supposed to get sponsors who will pay an amount of money for every lap we ran around the school. Plus, if you got enough money, you would get prizes. I didn't get any sponsors. Plenty of other kids got sponsors, but I didn't. So I didn't see why I had to participate on the running of laps. But everyone else thought that it wouldn't be "FAIR" for the non-sponsor kids to run around the school.
So today was the actual "Fun Run." Since it had rained yesterday, it was too slippery to run around. So they moved the track over to the black top. They set up cones in a small oval for us to run around. It was pathetic. It took 6 seconds to run around, and 12 to walk the lap.
Before we started running, they handed out these stupid Boosterthon t-shirts to wear. I didn't want to wear it, so I put it in my bag. About 2 minutes before the running began, two teachers came over and started screaming their heads off me asking why I wasn't wearing the "special" shirt. Apparently I should've been happy that I got to wear a T-Shirt instead of our Polo Shirts. Plus, couldn't I see that everyone else was wearing one? If I didn't wear the shirt, the Boosterthon people might get insulted. So I was forced to go back to the classroom, get my shirt, change, and come back. When I came back, everyone was already running and I was really far behind. So I started running.
At the end I was sweaty and exhausted.
We went back to schoolwork, all stinky and sweaty. Teachers were starting to get mad because their classrooms were beginning to smell like lockerooms. The chorus teacher refused to go inside her classroom, so she taught the class from the hallway.
I'm so glad that is over.

I already told you this
School has started. And I am now overwhelmed with homework. I usually finish around 10 pm, (pretty much because I'm not doing the work in class) but today I got a lucky break.
I have 8 classes this year and one of them is SPANISH! AND I LOVE IT! Spanish is my favorite class for two reasons:
1. We hardly ever get homework
2. It's FUN!
Also, spanish class gives us all a break from school work. In the other classes we're working our butts off, but in Spanish, we're relaxing, but still getting things done. I also like Math and Social Studies. Language Arts is okay, but, believe it or not, I hate writing. Science is terrible pretty much because of the teacher. If you think I'm exaggerating, listen to this. She spent half an hour telling us that we are not to use markers in our "interactive" notebooks. The next day, "Remember, do not use markers in your notebooks. It will bleed through your paper." The next day, "Does anyone remember my rule about markers and notebooks? Anyone? The rule is that you are not allowed to use markers in your notebooks." And so on and so on.
Well, this post is really unorganized. I think I spelled some words wrong, too. Oh well. I'm tired.

How I Spent my last day of Summer Vacation
8:30 - 12:00 --Watched the entire sixth season of As Time Goes By. This was a first. We NEVER watch ANYTHING in the mornings.
12:00 - 2:30 -- Did laundry, cleaned my room, got everything ready for school
2:30 - 3:00 -- Lunch
3:00 - 4:00 -- Goofed around, held a club meeting, helped reorganize the living room
4:00 - 4:30 -- Read
4:30 - 5:00 -- Shopped for food to pack in our lunches
5:00 - 5:15 -- Watched my dad and brothers play around with the waterproof camera at the pool
5:15 - 6:30 -- Read
6:30 - 7:30 -- Ate a wonderful dinner of lasagna and garlic bread
7:30 - 8:00 -- Set alarm for school, goofed off, and danced to music on the radio with my brothers
8:00 - 9:00 -- Read
9:00 - 9:15 -- Freaked out over school
9:15 - 9:30 -- Read
9:30 - 9:40 -- Blogged
9:40 - 10:00 -- Freaked out over school again, got ready for bed, and finally WENT to bed
I'm not exactly sure how acurate this is... Plus I forgot to include looking at cake wrecks on the computer with my dad.
If you are wondering why I was reading so much today, it's because I'm trying to finish a library book that's due tomorrow. I don't think I'm going to make it.
SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Told you!
Sleeping on a clipboard. Under a desk. How could you not believe me when I say, " Theo is a complete wacko!"
The Art of Jenga
Yes. The art.
The height after playing for a while. That's 7 inches taller! We probably added one more row after this and then it fell.
How does it fall so perfectly???

Meet the Teacher Day!
School starts in 4 days! Noooooooooo!
Ahem.
Today I will meet all my teachers! Yay! ( I mean Booo!)
I got a pink slip of paper in the mail that told me my homeroom teacher.
I got Mr. McCarren!
And that's who I wanted!
Problem: Most of my friends are in different homerooms... :(
Oh well.

Ta-daa!!!
It's a Compostion Book Cover! My mom and I just finished making it tonight. Well, mostly my mom. I have a very short attention span...
The cover has pockets for pencils, buisness cards, a page marker, and a big pocket on the front for paper, or pretty much anything else. Since I don't use buisness cards yet, I can just use it for erasers. Oh! It also has a latch on the side to keep it shut.
Anyways. I guess it's time to tell everybody that I never actually finished that messenger bag that I was talking about. I didn't even start it. I was looking at the pattern for the bag, and it said that it would be good to use canvas. So while I was thinking it over, I decided that there would be a lot of heavy books to carry back and forth, so there was no way that my 100% cotton fabric would survive the first couple of months. So I used it on my Compostion Book Cover. I need to use up that 3 yards somehow!

VACATION
Pictures from our week long vacation in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio.
Our family picture on the cabin stairs.
Looking over the New River Gorge.
MonoRail!!!
New River Gorge Bridge.
I admit it. I come from a very weird family.
The Princess Tree. No, really.
Apparently we needed to get every view possible of that bridge.
Deep Fried Dill Pickles - they are WAY better than you would think!
Wasp nest.
Huge mud puddle on our way across the scary Mckendree Road. There were tons more of these mud puddles everywhere. But I felt safe, even with boulders in the way of the road, and drop offs at every turn. I was glad that our van's wheels were at least 6 inches away from the edge of the cliff. At least we had 4 wheel drive. Without that, we could still be stuck in a 4 foot deep mud puddle. Or worse. There were plenty of branches in the way of the road, (if you could call it a road) as if they were warnings telling us not to go further. Dad just inched out of the car, hoping that he wouldn't take a false step and moved it out of the way. I tried not to lean to the side, fearing that the car would topple over and fall 300 feet off the cliff. This so called "shortcut," is not a good place for any tourists visiting the state of West Virginia. In fact, Mckendree road is not a good shortcut for anyone! I'm warning you. Anyone in the right mind should listen to me as I say this. Never. Ever. Ever. Ever, take a cruise down this dangerous road! Beware! Beware!!!
Waterfall!!!
Why my dad had to get a picture of this worn down car, I do not know.
We're on a coal mine tour!
Visiting family!
And kittens!
Okay, so while we were on vacation, we went and saw the Creation Museum. It was amazing! I got a bunch of pictures, but if I put them on here, then I have to explain them all. And that would be hard. So, I'm only going to put on a few. But really, this was a great museum, and you really need to take the time to see it!
Sorry that you can't really see what it says. But let me sum it up for ya. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS EVOLUTION. The end.
The Creation Museum was great, and it totally changed my entire view of God and his creation. We saw a presentation called Men in White, and in it I learned that Science Teachers can be wrong. They are always saying that the world was formed millions of years ago, by complete mistake! How could all the planets be lined up so perfectly so that we could get the right amount of sunlight, without being burned to a crisp, or freezing to death? If the world was formed millions of years ago, and salt keeps collecting into the ocean, wouldn't there be enough salt by now that we could walk across the ocean? I am serious! This museum was AMAZING. At some points I wanted to cry because there was so much information about God's creation that I hadn't known. How can people NOT know that there is a God? There is proof all around them!
