Twas the day after Christmas

I hate the day after Christmas.  All year you've been waiting and waiting for Christmas to come, and finally for one short moment in time, it's there.  And the next... It's not.

Tonight I get to go to the candle light service at my Grandma's church!!!  I'm really excited!  'Cause guess what?  We get to hold candles!  IT'S SO COOL!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, because I sure did!  We had a progressive dinner, starting at the Carlsons'* house for the appetizers, then to our house for the main dinner, then to my Grandma's house for dessert, movies and games.  We also got to go outside and play with mini rockets and airplanes at a nearby parking lot, which was really fun.  Anyways, enough about me.  How was your Thanksgiving?  Leave plenty of comments!!!

How I Spent my last day of Summer Vacation

8:30 - 12:00 --Watched the entire sixth season of As Time Goes By.  This was a first.  We NEVER watch ANYTHING in the mornings.
12:00 - 2:30 -- Did laundry, cleaned my room, got everything ready for school
2:30 - 3:00 -- Lunch
3:00 - 4:00 -- Goofed around, held a club meeting, helped reorganize the living room
4:00 - 4:30 -- Read
4:30 - 5:00 -- Shopped for food to pack in our lunches
5:00 - 5:15 -- Watched my dad and brothers play around with the waterproof camera at the pool
5:15 - 6:30 -- Read
6:30 - 7:30 -- Ate a wonderful dinner of lasagna and garlic bread
7:30 - 8:00 -- Set alarm for school, goofed off, and danced to music on the radio with my brothers
8:00 - 9:00 -- Read
9:00 - 9:15 -- Freaked out over school
9:15 - 9:30 -- Read
9:30 - 9:40 -- Blogged
9:40 - 10:00 -- Freaked out over school again, got ready for bed, and finally WENT to bed


I'm not exactly sure how acurate this is...  Plus I forgot to include looking at cake wrecks on the computer with my dad.
If you are wondering why I was reading so much today, it's because I'm trying to finish a library book that's due tomorrow.  I don't think I'm going to make it.


SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW!  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

HAPPY (late) 4TH OF JULY!

Okay, so I was away at my friend's house during the weekend, and we stayed to celebrate the 4th.  You know all that, right?  Anyways, I found this really cool cake thing in a cupcake book, "Hello, Cupcake."  I've been wanting to make it, but it's a flag.  For the 4th of July.  So I waited, and waited, and then, IT WAS THE FOURTH!!!!  So I showed the picture to my friend, and we made it!  The picture isn't too good, so you probably can't see it too well.  It's all made of cupcakes.  The red mini cupcakes were placed on top of the bigger white cupcakes to form the red stripes.  Anyways, it took a total of 94-96 cupcakes to make!!!  That's a lot!  We spent all morning just preparing for the fun part, the DECORATING!  On each of the red cupcakes is some type of goody, like gummi bears, or jelly beans, or something like that.  And on top of the blue cupcakes are sprinkles.  So... do you like it?

I think I kinda forgot what I put for the title...

             Okay, so here's my cake.  Beautiful, right???  Anyways, the cake doesn't really look like one of those Edible Arrangements, but I still think it's pretty cool.  Note to Self:  One layer cakes are not the best base for a couple pounds of fruit!!!!

I had an AWESOME birthday party yesterday, with an amazing chocolate cake my brother had so kindly made.  Usually, I HATE CHOCOLATE CAKE MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD, but this tasted very yummy!!!  We had decorated the cake to look like one of those "Edible Arrangements," because I love those things, but they're WAY too expensive.  So, we made our own.  Pics were taken on my brother's birthday present, a WATERPROOF CAMERA!!!!!   Hopefully I can get that picture downloaded so you can see how amazing my cake was.  :)

  Today is Memorial Day!!!!  No school, and no work.  What are all of you guys going to do today???  We just got back from Pennsylvania last night, so we are just chillin'.  Anyways, I hope everybody has a GREAT Memorial Day!

   I  don't know ANYBODY who doesn't like Fridays.  Fridays are a way of showing you that you have made it through the week, you're still alive, and that it is time for RELAXATION!!!  (Unless you didn't finish all the things you needed to get done...)  I feel like we need another chorus of "Friday"...
