Cherry Pie

Yesterday my mom made that pie!!!  And it wad delicious!  It was perfect, it wasn't too sweet, or too tart, just PERFECT!!!!!!!!!  Sorry I didn't get any pics, we had brought it to a potluck and it was demolished immediately.  Anyways...  Ugh... I can't believe how GOOD that tasted!

Cherry Picking

Today, we went cherry picking!!!  We got 4 bags of tart cherries, so now we can make cherry muffins, and cherry pie, and cherry... uh, stuff.  We also got Purple Rasberries and Red Rasberries and Beets!  (I wasn't actually that excited about the beets...)  Anyways, we spent all day there getting sweaty and gross... But at least we got some yummy fruits!!!  When we went out for lunch,  we looked like we had fallen off a mountain,  My hair was everywhere, (Mom's too!) and we were sunburned and had pieces of leaves all over us.  Maybe it was just me, but I felt like everyone was staring at us...

      My friends, Jaala and Salem, and their four other sisters are leaving for their Granparent's house tomorrow.  Then they will leave to Kentucky.  Yesterday was the last day I got to see them.  I am sad.  I know I've said this before, but, I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE MOVE!!!!!!!!!!  Why?  Why do they have to move?  I already know the answer.  Because they're a military family.  Why?  Why, Why, Why?  WHY CAN'T EVERYBODY JUST STAY WHERE THEY ARE???????

             Okay, so here's my cake.  Beautiful, right???  Anyways, the cake doesn't really look like one of those Edible Arrangements, but I still think it's pretty cool.  Note to Self:  One layer cakes are not the best base for a couple pounds of fruit!!!!

I had an AWESOME birthday party yesterday, with an amazing chocolate cake my brother had so kindly made.  Usually, I HATE CHOCOLATE CAKE MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD, but this tasted very yummy!!!  We had decorated the cake to look like one of those "Edible Arrangements," because I love those things, but they're WAY too expensive.  So, we made our own.  Pics were taken on my brother's birthday present, a WATERPROOF CAMERA!!!!!   Hopefully I can get that picture downloaded so you can see how amazing my cake was.  :)

3 and a Half more days!

New Church Building!

Today was our last day at Potomac High School!   We moved to a new building, Swans Creek Elementary.  We got all our band equipment, Nursery Stuff, and everything else moved in.  So Sunday will be our first use!!!! Can't wait!!!!

   (Only 4 and a Half more days of school!!!!)

Uh-Oh

      Let's say you just got out of the shower.  And you're using the hair dryer.  You're combing your hair, and you bump into your ear with the brush.  And your earing falls out, into the sink, and down the drain.  Uh-Oh.
      That's exactly what just happened to me.  And it was one of my favorites, too. :(
  I wasn't about to lose ANOTHER earing, so I got my dad, and he pulled the drain open.  Then we tied a magnet to a pipe cleaner and pulled my earing out.  Yay! 

End of the Year Project

        Since there are only 5 and a Half more days of school, we have started our End of the Year Project.   This year, we are doing a Carnival for the 5th Graders.  I partnered up with 3 of my best buddies. (Sorry Katie...)  For our game, we had to do something with adding and subtracting mixed numbers and unlike denominators.  So we decided to do a game with lollipops.

       DIRECTIONS:

  1.  Pick an index card from the hat

  2.  Solve the probblem using the dry erase board

  3.  Pull out the lollipop with the correct answer on it

  4.  If you get the question right, you get to keep the lollipop

  5.  If you get the question right

    AND

       there is a black dot on the bottom of the stick, you get a ticket to the prize table

(There is going to be a foam board with lollipops stuck into it.  On each lollipop is an index card with a fraction problem on it.  3-5 lollipops will have a black dot on it.)

Along with the game, we also have to make:

A poster showing how to add and subtract the fractions

A poster showing how to play the game

An academic vocabulary poster

20 or more Questions and answers

A sign for our booth

Our game is called

"FRACTION LOLLIPOPS"

Church Picnic

      Today is the Church Picnic!  And guess what???  Mom forgot to buy the cream cheese, so she couldn't make Cheese Cake.  And recently I have been into Cupcake decorating.  So I was like "This is my time to shine!"  (Not really...)  So, I was going to make banana cupcakes yesterday for the picnic, but then I remembered that I was gonna be at a sleepover.  Then, I asked my mom to make them for me, and I could decorate them.  Well, somehow Mom got my brother into making them.  Anyways, I just finished decorating them.  Our Churchs' Logo is a cross with some sort of blue mist behind it.  So I squirted white icing all over the cupcake and but blue sugar over it.  Then I flattened out Starbursts and made them into cross shapes.  So now they're ready to go!  But this picture makes them look a lot more drab...  They're actually WAY more colorful.  Anyways...  Yeah.

Back! (again)

   I just got back from my short trip... IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!  It was one of the BEST time's I ever had.  Jaala and Salem's grandparents had a HUGE garden, complete with peaches, strawberries, corn, rhubarb, peas, beans, blueberries and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't remember!  We got to garden, swim in their pool, and there was a bonfire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I can't wait to go back!!! 

'Bout To Leave

    In about, like 3 minutes, I will be leaving to spend 2 nights at my friend's Grandparent's house.  I can't wait!!!  Oh yeah, their names are Jaala and Salem.  (Friends from church.)  Say "hi" to them everybody!!!!  Anyways, I won't be here 'till Sunday, so... I won't be blogging?  Yeah.  So, keep guessing what 12 and a half means!!! Bye!
