This year I am a counselor at the Prince William County Fair Camp. Fair Camp is basically just a REALLY FUN day camp. We get to see all the animals and fair exhibits. Plus magic shows, SNACKS, and you get to learn these really funny songs. We also do potato scenes. Potato scenes are just potatoes. Except they usually have clothes and faces and they usually live in Mars or are bowling all the time. The campers just make a scene, and add potatoes. (Potatoes = People) ...It's hard to explain. Anyways, this is my first year as a counselor. But I've been a camper twice. Today was my first day. It was okay, but there are these 3 boys in my group who are always making those farting noses with their pits. I forget what those are called...

County Fair RESULTS (Part 2)
Here are my mom's results.
An awesome card that should've gotten first place! I didn't like the first place card. They over did it.My brother also made a chocolate cake for the Hershey competition. You had to make any type of dessert using at least a fourth cup of Hershey's Cocoa mix. The winner would recieve $25, and a Hershey's Chocolate gift basket. My older brother made the same cake he made for my birthday, but he made two layers and put rasberry jam in between, with homemade icing on top. He also drizzled some chocolate sauce over that. He didn't win, but I still think it was DELICIOUS. Sorry I don't have a picture...
County Fair RESULTS
We went to the county fair yesterday! It was really fun. We saw a bluegrass band, and a Magic Show. Then we went and saw all the animals. There were little baby chicks for only $12.00!!! And bunnies for only $30! Of course, I wasn't allowed to get any... We also worked in the Childrens' Barn, where we taught crafts and games to the kids. But one of my favorite parts was seeing our results!!!
Here are my results:
This is a pincushion I made. They put it together wrong. The little bag is supposed to be connected to the beige strap under the cushion. The bag is for thread scraps, and the blue pockets for seam rippers, chalk, snippers, anything like that.
This is a sculpture I made of Albert Einstein for a school project. I probably should've entered it in the recycled category...
I entered this in the Christmas Ornament category because I didn't think it would do well in the handbag category. Apparently it didn't do well there either.
These are the same brownies that I brought to the Taco Lunch. See! I told you they were good! (Fresh batch. Not the same ones!!!)Saturday, August 13, 2011
He's Back!
I think that this is Thunderclap something. I guess when the water comes out of the hole in the rocks, it sounds like thunder.
Kayaks. You probably already know that.
Apparently trying to make a torch. :)
Looking for little animals. Or whatever you would call stuff that lives under rocks.
Their findings.
Free time!
Eew.
