Today I spent 4 Hours Saturated in my own Sweat

Yes, I know I have some explaining to do.

Today was our school's fundraiser.  And it was terrible.

This year we were doing a "Boosterthon" to raise money for our school.  Basically, we were supposed to get sponsors who will pay an amount of money for every lap we ran around the school.  Plus, if you got enough money, you would get prizes.  I didn't get any sponsors.   Plenty of other kids got sponsors, but I didn't.  So I didn't see why I had to participate on the running of laps.  But everyone else thought that it wouldn't be "FAIR" for the non-sponsor kids to run around the school.
So today was the actual "Fun Run."  Since it had rained yesterday, it was too slippery to run around.  So they moved the track over to the black top.  They set up cones in a small oval for us to run around.  It was pathetic.  It took 6 seconds to run around, and 12 to walk the lap.
Before we started running, they handed out these stupid Boosterthon t-shirts to wear.  I didn't want to wear it, so I put it in my bag.  About 2 minutes before the running began, two teachers came over and started screaming their heads off me asking why I wasn't wearing the "special" shirt.  Apparently I should've been happy that I got to wear a T-Shirt instead of our Polo Shirts.  Plus, couldn't I see that everyone else was wearing one?  If I didn't wear the shirt, the Boosterthon people might get insulted.  So I was forced to go back to the classroom, get my shirt, change, and come back.  When I came back, everyone was already running and I was really far behind.  So I started running.
At the end I was sweaty and exhausted.
We went back to schoolwork, all stinky and sweaty.  Teachers were starting to get mad because their classrooms were beginning to smell like lockerooms.  The chorus teacher refused to go inside her classroom, so she taught the class from the hallway.

I'm so glad that is over.

Picture Day

... is my least favorite day of the year.  Especially when I get grumpy photographers.  ..."Turn your head this way!  No, that way!  Too much, go back! Not that much!!!!"

DISHWASHER

I don't know if any of you guys knew, but we've been living without a dishwasher for a little over a month.  And it has been REALLY hard.  After dinner had become my least favorite part of the day.  Each night we would spend an hour or more washing dishes.  So, every 3 nights, it would be my tun to wash.  The next day I would dry and put away.  Then, the next, I would clear the table.  That meant every 3 nights I would have dried-out hands.  And I hate having dried-out hands.  So, in conclusion, we LOVE our new dishwasher.

Locked Out

Today at school we were doing laps.  But I got out late because I was still finishing a quiz.  Anyways, I was walking around the school not seeing much of anybody because they were probably on the other side, when I realized that it was unusually quiet.  I walked faster to the entrance and NO ONE WAS THERE!!!!   I couldn't get in!!!  (And today the temperatures just HAD to be unusually high...)  I started banging on the doors when I realized that I was just drawing attention to myself.  Then, when a teacher would FINALLY hear me, they would yell at me for being late to lunch.  So I stopped, and waited.  And waited... And waited...  Then, the elementary school door opened, and a teacher walked out.  She was one of those nice teachers that knows when you didn't mean to be late, and understand that the other kids locked you out.  So, I walked over to her and asked if she could let me in... AND... SHE DID!!!!!!!!  So, there it is.  Your happy ending.

Homework

As I was looking at all the homework I missed over the days I was sick, I realized how much you could miss in 4 days.  The math homework like gibberish, social studies completely insane.  I don't seem to remember anything at all!!!  P.E.M.D.A.S- Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally, (at least I remember that much!)  Parentheses, something rather, multiplacation, division, adding, subtracting.  In social studies, I'm already way behind! Lewis and Clark are crossing the Columbia River.  Did they already get that far!!!???  I can't wait till Monday, for sure!!!

(I guess this has a moral, and that moral is: DON'T GET SICK!!!)

I've already missed 2 days of school... :(    (We had no school on Monday.)  If you guys would include me in your prayers, that would be a big help!  Thanks!
